Lutangilo Secondary School

Lutangilo Secondary school is in a remote area several hours drive from Iringa. This project was designed by an University of Minnesota Design for Life class. Lutangilo is not on the electric grid and the deep well is powered with solar panels to fill two 10,000 liter storage tanks mounted on a slope above the school. Water from the tanks is distributed to several points on the school campus and pipe was also laid to deliver water to a dispensary a couple kilometers away.
